WEDDING & MARRIAGE MENTORING
Congratulations on your engagement! Church of the King is honored to be a part of your special day. Although we are not able to host weddings or receptions at our facilities, we are pleased to assist you with officiating and planning your wedding ceremony. We would also like help you in preparing for life after the wedding day, through our Marriage Mentoring Program.
The time you spend during your engagement should be viewed as an investment in the life you will live together. We have seen God's best come from solid, intentional preparation for marriage. Church of the King is excited to partner with you to help you build a satisfying, loving, and grace-filled marriage that will last a lifetime through our Marriage Mentoring Program.
The Marriage Mentoring Program at Church of the King consists of couple to couple mentoring using the Prepare/Enrich curriculum. This curriculum covers key areas to a successful marriage including: communication; conflict resolution; partner style and habits; financial management; leisure activities; sexuality and affection; family and friends; relationship roles; children and parenting and spiritual beliefs.
Your Next Steps
Your first step will be to complete the online Marriage Mentoring & Wedding Officiation Request Form.
Once you have completed the online form, you will be contacted to schedule a meeting with one of our pastors for an initial interview.
After the interview is completed and you and your fiancé agree and commit to the program, you will receive a link to the online Prepare/Enrich Relationship Assessment via e-mail. The cost of the assessment is $35 per couple.
After you have completed the assessment, marriage coaches (a seasoned married couple) will then be assigned to you. You and your fiance will meet regularly with the marriage coaches prior to the wedding; and we encourage you to meet up to six months (ideal) after your wedding.
Your assigned pastor will meet with you as the wedding date approaches to discuss ceremony details.
